Respect is for those who deserve it, not for those who demand it. Respect isn't always given when it is deserved at first, but over time, if a person continues to work consistently and consistently grows, the world will open up its arms, and embrace a person, a movement, or any organization, and give it the respect it deserves.

Continue to be good at what you do. Work harder than anyone out there doing anything remotely similar to what you are doing. Not to one-up or beat anyone else, but instead, live this way because it is the only way to truly live and be great. Living a great life may not always be a life full of balance, and sometimes you may have to pick spending time doing what you love, over spending time with the people you love if they are going to hold you back. But, be great, nothing speaks more loudly than a person's success! When you do everything possible to be successful, the respect you earn will be overwhelming.
